One More Card

Hi there!

I was able to squeeze in one more card, in between packing and baking. Knowing I can't make any for 2 weeks is a killer.........

On this card I wanted to use up the last of the patterned paper I had. It is the old old paper that I have no idea where it came from, I also used SU Orchid. Tilda has some SU Dazzling Diamonds on her wings and there is a wee bit on the center of each flower. I have used some nice flowers from Prima and a crystal in the middle of each one. Also I made a few little leaves out of SU Old Olive paper.

Front of the card:

I have to laugh here because I was looking all over for a piece of plastic that went flying. Couldn't find it any where until I looked at this picture. Great Scott! At least I found it - it is in the garbage now!!!!

Closer look at Tilda:

And WOW the inside:

Hope you like it.
Thanks for looking ladies - see you in May............

A New Magnolia Card

Hi everyone,

As usual it is late at night here. although not nearly as late as most nights that I post to my blog!

I received a beautiful card today from Sharon Caudle and it was full of new spring stamps!! I was overjoyed and immediately started to make a card........however my husband continually interupted me today and I could not get it finished the way I wanted to.

I am going to the mainland on Friday for a while to visit my mother and take her to some doctor appointments so am trying to get the house organized and get clothes washed for packing etc.

He went out and bought a new truck the other day!!!! Now we have been having to go here and there to sign papers and get money and appointments etc. So I am way behind on all the things I have to do. He couldn't have done this at a worse time -but I am sure you all know about this kind of thing with your own husbands!!!!!!!!!

Anyway I could see my card was not going to come together but I had to get it finished. So here is the result.

The front of the card:

Here is a close up of Edwin:

And here is the simple inside:

This card was coloured with Copics, white card stock was used for the base of the card and the rest of the paper is from : DCWV Blossoms and Butterflies. I also used MS butterfly punch and that was all for today.

I would like to thank you all for your wonderful comments on my last card and I hope to follow this one with a much better one real soon.

If I can't post again before Friday. I will be gone for a bit more than 2 weeks. I will be able to check my mail, just not blog. I will be home again around May 8th or so.

Lots of Love,
Candy

Hi Once Again :o)

This evening I have made a Magnolia Card for one of the people in my group.
This one has several things on it I have never done before - so I hope the lady will like it?

I have used Gina K 120lb card stock for the actual card base. Then used SU Whisper White for the rest of the card. The Gina K is so thick it is hard to cut with punches if you want to do a good job.

I guess we shall call this my 'White' Card. There is a touch of colour but very little.

I painted Miss Tilda with Copics , used a very soft purple ribbon for her to sit on. Today I made my own flower to see what it would come out like. I stamped a background stamp of tiny flowers on all the pieces before I put the flower together, and I also went around all the edges with a matching Copic pen. I wanted just a 'hint' of colour on this card. I have used my oval scalloped Nestie, my polka dot Cuttlebug embossing folder. Some beautiful new ribbon from SU, as well as a button from my stash., The inside of the card is very very old paper I had, that I thought would look nice with the plain work on the outside.

Here is a picture of the full size front of the card:

Here are a couple of close ups : you will notice that this time I left a small amount of white card stock all around Tilda when I cut her out - that is because I wanted to take my very light mauve Copic and put that as a shadow around her. It is barely noticeable in the pictures - but it does look nice on the actual card............

Here is one of my first hand made flower:

And of course the inside of this one:

As you can see it is a real departure from the last three cards that I have made!!!!

Thank you to everyone who comes to take a peek. I so enjoy hearing from you all.
Hope you all have a good week, now that holidays are over and it is time for back to school and work........

Two cards on one day - WOW!

I can't believe I have accomplished two cards in one day LOL. ~ That is because Mariah's Birthday card was mostly finished yesterday LOL LOL ............just trying to fool you all!!

I have made this card for the Monday House Mouse Challenge - the address is on the top right of my blog.
This week the challenge is to make a card that is "sweet". I choose to go with - what else??
CHOCOLATE!!!

I have used stickles, round Nesties both plain and scalloped, Copics , both design papers are matching DoodleBug Design, pop dots, and crystals. I hope that is everything - Oops the flower from Prisma.

Here is the front of the card:

Some closer images so you can hopefully see the stickles on the mouse, marshmallows and the word chocolate:

and of course the inside:

Thanks to all of you who have taken the time to come see the card and especially if you have come twice today :o)

Hello Friends - It's Saturday!

I spent yesterday making a Birthday card for my Granddaughter :o) She and my Grandson have Birthdays just one day apart!

I really wanted it to be as nice as his was. I tried very hard. While his favourite colour is green, hers is pink. Can you get too much pink???? I doubt she will think so LOL
This was a stamped image I received in an image swap. Was I lucky or what? This is an H & S stamp from the Spring line, I believe.
I have used my usual things to make the card. My Copics, one of my larger rectangle Nesties, sweet ribbon from Michaels, Martha Steward small butterfly punch, dazzling diamond glitter from SU and acrylic white paint. I taught my sweet Mariah all about BLING while I was baby-sitting them in January so I had to use this paper by Making Memories LOL
The front:

A closer look:

The inside:

And of course the back:

I notice in the picture this doesn't look centered - but it is.

I am sure you can tell what a good time I have had making both of these cards for my AWESOME Grandchildren whom I love so very much.

Blessings to you all on Easter.

Good Morning !

I thought you might like to see the Birthday Card I have made for my Grandson.

It is his 6th Birthday and I had a blast making this card for him! The stamp I used is from:
AlotaRubberStamps and is so cute! I used SU cardstock in Green Galore and Summer Sun. Both of the design papers are from scraps and I am afraid I don't remember who made them. I used my round Nesties in plain and scallop. White acrylic paint, and Copic markers.

Here is the front of the card:

The inside :

And the back!!!

Thank you for visiting me - I love it when you do.

Have a great day.

Happy Monday!

Hello friends,

Just a quick little post tonight to show a card I made to send some images in. I have been making a lot of cards to enclose images in swaps, and never thought about showing them for some reason?!

So I have mailed many. This one is going in the mail tomorrow so took a quick picture of it for you.

I have bought a few House Mouse stamps and would really love to have more. I am going to try to do the Monday Night House Mouse and Friends Challenge each week. BUT this may be complicated for a while until I get more stamps as they set the challenge using certain things.
I have what I need for this week so I hope to post it later in the week. I also have several Magnolia cards to make as well. So hope you will come back and see everything.

Just a sweet little one for tonight.

Hope to see you all soon.

Happy Saturday Everyone!!

How are you all? I hope not many of you had the snow we had in the middle of the week!!!
Today is was a beautiful day lovely bright and sunny although the wind was brisk. It was the kind of day you wanted to be out in the yard working except that it is far too cold here yet and nothing is growing. I know though it won't belong until the weather warms up and then I will be too HOT LOL LOL!!!!!!!!!!

So I shall say no more about the weather :o)

I made a card today for the Magnolia-licious April Challenge. Many in the group have made theirs already and I am sure you have seen a lot of them. They are absolutely beautiful - they get better every month.

I plod along here doing the best I can. I have had an idea in my head for some time now and today I thought I would try to get it on a card! WELL...........you know how it goes some times. You can't seem to do what you thought you could and you thought you had something but you don't and the card keeps changing as the time goes on.

This is the end result of my card for today. It is coloured with Copics of course - and I am out of several colours and can't find anyone in Vancouver or area who sells the reinkers :o(.......You may notice my little girl is very light today as I barely had enough ink to finish her off in the colours I like to use. My card stock is Bazzil with a texture and my two DP are some I picked up such a long time ago in Vancouver, but they don't have names on the back of them :o( , I also used SU soft sky. The elements I used were some micro beads for the seaweed, two MS punches for the shell and the sea horses, and 3 tiny shells I collected.

Here is the front of the card:

Here is a better close up of Tilda:

Here is a picture of the embellishments:

And finally a photo of the inside:

I hope you can figure out what I was trying to accomplish here :o)

Have a GREAT weekend everyone and see you back here real soon, I hope!

Thank you - Candy

Hello

Gosh Friday was a long time ago now, wasn't it??? Well my brand new camera got stuck on OFF and I couldn't do a thing with it. It worried me for 5 days until I was finally able to get a hold of my son who helped me figure it out. * You have to know I am getting old and all of these new contraptions are just too much for me to figure out LOL ~ now I sound like my grandma used, to long ago LOL

So I have made some cards and sent them on there way and wasn't able to take pictures for you - I just thought I should tell you so you didn't think I had done nothing all of this time.

I was lucky that I had my camera fixed last night so took two quicky pictures of the Easter cards I made for my Grandchildren. I had to pack up their gifts really fancy this morning and put the cards in the box on the top so they wouldn't get ruined. I only took pictures of the front.

I had decorated the insides really cute with little rabbits and baby chicks - put them in fancy circles and then covered them in diamond gloss - but I had also written little notes inside each one and I couldn't take pictures of that :o(

I also discovered something else while taking these pictures. When you use a lot of glitter there must be a trick to take close up pictures of your work that I don't know. I took my usual two pictures of the front - but both times the close ups were too weird for you to see from all the bling :o( I will have to ask someone in the know about that........

So after all this yapping here are the two little cards:

First one is for our Grandson,

and this one is for our Granddaughter:

Nothing earth shattering but just wanted you to see them and let you know I am still around.
It seems Murphys Law is still following me around, making sure I have a tough time working all of my toys here :o)

Really hope to see you all soon.

I also want to thank you so very much for taking the time to come and look at my cards - you are so kind.........
