Hi everyone!
Is it as hot at your house as it is at mine today? Our temperature is over 80 still and it is 7:30 in the evening here. I wonder if summer has started :o)
I spent my afternoon making a card with one of the Spring Collection Stamps. I love little Tilda holding the bee :o)
I coloured with my Copics as usual. I don't have dark greys as yet so my bee is a bit lighter than I would like him to be - but I am happy with the rest of the card.....
DP: Basic Grey ~ Urban Prairie
Card Stock ~ white, black, Turquoise.
Touch of ribbon.
Nesties - plain square ~ 3rd largest.
Hand made flowers - I had lots of fun making these :o)
3 Black Pearls ~ MS
Here are my pictures. You will notice the first one was taken before I added the pearls. I felt it needed something in that top right hand corner........
Here is a bit closer picture:
Finally with the addition of the pearls:
I hope you haven't tired of seeing all of these images by now? I wonder how many of you noticed that I FINALLY learned how to crop my pictures today? LOL LOL LOL ~ All of you who have been sick and tired of seeing my messy desk, I bet :o) They are much nicer now.
Have a great week everyone!!
Thank you all so much for taking a look and please remember how much I love to read your comments.
See you again soon ~

Another card for ' The Town Scrapper'
Hi everyone! Wasn't it a beautiful sunny day today? Sure hope it stays this way for the weekend for all those longing for summer.
Here it is half open:
I have made another card for Phebe and her store 'The Town Scrapper'
This one is different than I have done before and I have learned a lot by making it!!!
Here is the front of the card:
Here it is half open:
And here is the inside of the card:
A close up of: CC Designs Polka dot Emma:
Would you believe this simple card took me half a day to make? Everything I did went wrong! Don't you hate it when you have a day like that??
I used Bassil white and red Bassil Card Stock
DP was Imaginisce : A shore thing and Penguin Paradise
The whole of the white card stock was cut 11 x 4 1/4 then using the Scor-Pal I scored it at 2" and 6 1/2 "
Once the card is folded you can just measure the pieces you need to cover the top and bottom flap, the inside pocket and the tag. As well as your front tab. Cut them out of the DP of your choice; round all the appropriate corners, and decorate as you wish. I had found these flip flops years ago who knows where and I thought one was just perfect for this card! I am so happy I tend to keep everything cute that I find!!!
Please check out Phebe's Blog : Humble Pie as well as her store site. She sells all kinds of brands of papers and stamps and you never know if there may be a special on her store site. Please just click on the left side of my blog on either of the sites you wish to look at. I know you will be glad that you did............
Have a wonderful Friday everyone! Don't forget how much I love to hear your comments on my cards :o)

Happy Saturday with Whipper Snapper
Hi everyone!
I was very lucky to be chosen as a DT Member for the store ' The Town Scrapper' in Ontario.
Today I am using 'Whipper Snapper' as my first stamp image. This is one of my favourites because this little guy is called ' Baseball Brandon' and my Grandson's name is Brandon also and he is playing T Ball this year for the first time.....
Here is a picture of the entire card :
isn't he the cutest???
Today I have used White Card Stock 11" x 5 1/2" and used my Scor-Pal to score the fold at 5 1/2". The Design Paper is Imaginisce and is called: A shore Thing - Sweet Summer Breeze. I cut the DP at 5.4" square and attached it to matching Blue plain DP which is cut at 5.6" square. I cut a very small oval and attached it to my Large Square Scallop Nestibility, in the same DP Blue. The Sentiment is from 'Hannah Stamps'.
**'The Town Scrapper carries : Imaginisce, Nestibilities, the Scor-Pal, and both Whipper Snapper and Hannah Stamps. You can get in touch with Phebe by clicking on her store name on the right hand side of my blog and her address is printed right underneath!
(I coloured my stamped image with Copic Sketch Markers. The colours used were: E00 - E11 - R32 for face, arms and legs; R24 - R29 for the hat and bandaide; B-21 - B24 for the numbers and neck line of his shirt; B93 - B97 for the main shirt; E34 - E37 for the baseball glove; Y11 - Y21 - E 33 for his hair; G03 - G09 for his shorts and socks; Co - C3 - W3 for the baseball and sneakers.)
I took a further two pictures for you to see a close up of 'Brandon'. As you can see the sun was disappearing as I was taking my pictures, so one is much more bright than the other. I think you can see them both well though.
I hope you like this card. Please say hi to Phebe when you see her from me!
Thanks so much for looking! Don't forget how much I enjoy your comments :o)

Good Morning!
Hi everybody!! I am sure you are all happy that today is Thursday already LOL
I tried my hand at another Magnolia challenge on the Magnoli-licious site. I buy all my stamps from Diana and her store is on the side of my blog.
This is the May Sketch Challenge designed by our very own Sharon Caudle. As usual I am later than I wanted to be with it. I see I have also used am image that a lot of other have as well. Sorry I just couldn't resist! * Sharon - there really is a piece of purple paper down the middle of the card - my image is so large it barely shows just above and below Miss Tilda!! *
Here she is in all her glory :o):
A close up of my colouring and the shine - I hope :
And the inside:
Details:
Paper~
I happened to have a piece of soft green left in my little pile of Bazzil Card Stock - YAY - so I used that for my card. My DP is from DCWV - Nursery Girl Glitter Chicks, and I also used card stock Very Vanilla and Almost Amethyst from Stampin'Up
Colouring~
All Copic
Extras:
Crystal Lacquer and Swartz. Crystals for rain drops, clear embossing powder on the little bird on the inside.
Stamps~
Tilda with Umbrella from the Chasing Butterflies Spring Collection; Hero Arts Holiday Birds
I believe that is everything. Please ask if you have any questions. You know how I love to read your comments and thank you so much for leaving me some :o)
Just before I go, I wondered how many of you have heard of the new Blog starting up? It is called the Next Level. We won't know what exciting things they will have for us to do, but they promise something very different and they have awesome blog candy for reading their new blog and leaving a comment. Please just click on the new button on the right side of my blog.

Trying for a DT!
Good Tuesday afternoon everyone!
The 'Town Scrapper' located in Petrolia, Ontario, is looking for 2 GDT team members for the month of June and July.
I have been buying stamps from 'The Town Scrapper' for more than a year now, so I thought I might try for this. Phebe has been a wonderful person to do business with - she is happy, obliging, quick to answer emails and quick to send her product. I wish I lived in the same town so I could go to her store and shop shop shop!!!!
Here are the details to try out for her DT: ~ the must do's:
You must use a Nestibillity
No ribbon
Keep it simple
Perfection is not a must but a love for the absolute.
Phebe did ask for a 'High Hopes' or 'Greeting Farm' Stamp to be used, but she also said you could use whatever stamp you had if you didn't have those. I have ordered some High Hopes stamps, but they have not arrived yet :o( Phebe also wished for us to hand paint our card. Well, I was so looking forward to that as I love painting. As a matter of fact I have been teaching painting, as well as Prismacolor and unscented MS to a lady in Florida on line since just after Christmas!
However when I went to get my water colour paper I found I was all out !!!!!!! So I am doing my card with Copics and hoping for the best!
Here is my card for 'The Town Scrapper'
I laid my card down in the hopes that the boots and wings would be shown to better advantage as they have Stickles and Crystal Lacquer on them.
I then took a close up so Phebe could see my colouring better.
Details:
I used Stampin'Up Vanilla Cardstock and unknown DP I have had for a very long time. I also made this card a different size than usual it is 9 inches long and folded at 4 1/4 inches so that I was able to use a fancy border punch down the right hand side, with Fiskars water punch.
I coloured with Copics, and used a Signo Uni-ball white pen for the highlights.
I then cut out my stamped and coloured image with the large oval fancy Nestibillity
I then used 3 D tape to mount my oval onto my DP
I applied Diamond Stickles to Tilda's wings and Crystal Lacquer to her boots.
I used Zip Dry glue to stick on the bubble gum pink baubbles.
Thank you Phebe for this opportunity. I hope you enjoy my card.

Good Evening!
I have finally managed to make a challenge card for Magnolia-licious. The challenge is to make one of our Tilda's with wings, so she is a Butterfly.
I have to be honest and tell you this was a very hard challenge for me. An awful lot of the girls have had their card done for a while now and looking at them in all of their splendor really got to me. I had to make mine different somehow and it took me forever to decide what to do.
This afternoon I just had to GET TO IT. I hope I used an image that no one else has used. I chose to use 'Lucia' from the Winter 2008 Collection. She holds a candle 'in real life' LOL - I cut the candle out and placed a flower in her hand instead.
Card Stock: Stampin' Up ~ Pretty in Pink and Certainly Celery
Design Paper: Imaginise: Oopsie Daisy
Velum: Light weight clear with white polka dots.
Copics - colouring
Ribbon: local hobby store ~ white with edge and pink satin
Punches : MS fancy lace and butterfly ( 3 )
Paint: LuminArte ~ Chiffon Pink, Ceramcoat white acrylic
Stickles : Star Dust
Stampin'Up Die : Beautiful Butterflies ( borrowed from a friend )
Flower bunch : Hobby store on the Mainland
Coluzzle Cutting System : Oval
Fiskars Scissors : Decal Edge
Mini glue dots and double sided tape
I cut paper and ribbon as usual and attached to DP and then to card stock. Die cut butterflies onto heavy paper and traced one set of wings onto light velum and painted velum with LuminArte - when it was dry I put a drop of Stickles on each polka dot. I cut the wings in half and attached them to Tilda's back after colouring her. They were attached with 3D tape. Tilda herself is attached to the card with more 3D tape. I shaped the butterfly wings by hand and also curled up the top and bottom portions by wrapping velum around my paint brush. Cut a flower off a stock and taped it into Tilda's hand. The white ribbon was put on the DP first and then the pink ribbon was attached afterwards.
The inside of the card was made with the same DP but I used both sides of it on the left hand side. Shaped the punched out butterflies and painted them with white acrylic paint. On the right hand side I cut the design paper 1/2 inch too large and used the MS border punch on one side so that when the card is closed you can see the lacy cut of the paper. I cut the green card stock with my Coluzzle Oval and then cut it again with my Fiskars Decal Edge Scissors. I made a bow with a large piece of the pink ribbon and attached it with mini glue dots.
Here are a few more pictures that I hope will show the shimmer and stickles on her wings:

Hello on Saturday Morning!
Hope everyone is doing well and has plans for the long weekend here in Canada.
This morning's post is going to be short and sweet as my camera needed the batteries changed and I wasn't able to get the good shots I wanted.
This card is for the House Mouse group I am on. Each month we are given two people to make a card for and we also have to send them two stamped images. I did my first one for May a long while ago and it is in my blog but down f a r ........
Both the cards went postal this morning
Here is the front of the card:
Here is the inside:
I used left over DP from the first House Mouse Card I made and also used Stampin'Up paper as my card stock. The colour I choose was: Tempting Turquoise. I stamped both the House Mouse Image and the sentiment on to 'Gina K's Pure Luxury Card Stock' and painted the Mice with my Copics. Both images were backed by the same Tempting Turquoise paper. I raised the sentiment and the House Mouse Image with 3 D tape. Found this neat ribbon at Micheals and although it feels very different it is easy to use and make into a knot. The left side of the inside panel finished my DP and I added a small ring and a circle of TT paper once again with a small portion of the stamped image - just the bear being mended, with crystals around it in pink. The right side I stamped with 'The Fall Frame' from Magnolia Stamps - it is available through Diana at Magnolia Stamps which you can find on my side bar.
Thank you for stopping by and very sorry the pictures aren't better. Hope to see you later this weekend with more cards.
Have a wonderful weekend everyone. Many thanks to those of you who come to take a peak at my work and leave such nice comments.

Hello Happy Tuesday Morning
Hello everyone!
I am my usual late self - it is 1:25 am here - but better late than never I always say.
It has taken me a while to get somewhat settled after my two trips away. The one to visit mom and the other to go camping with hubby in Tofino. Unfortunately it rained every day at some point and some times all day there, so I wasn't able to find my Sand Dollars :o(
There is much to do around the house both inside and out and lots of cards to make to catch up with challenges and obligations I have made. I should have several cards here in this next week.
Today I am showing a very late April Mingle Exchange. This card had to have a Magnolia stamp on it, 3 flowers, 2 ribbons and one button. Lisa if you are reading this and don't want to see it before it gets to you - don't read from here down!!! :o)
I was lucky to find one piece each of 4 pieces of Basic Gray Porcelain DP. I used most of them up on this card. I also used stickles in two colours - yellow for Tilda's wings and copper for her hair. I punched out the middle and small size of the deco flower - covered them in Versa Mark Ink and used sparkly chalk . A soft brown around the edges and a pretty peach on the inside. Then used some pretty brads for the centres. The smaller ones are fuzzy. My first ribbon is plain vanilla twill and the second is rickrack in peach over top. There is NOT one button, but two - if you can see them LOL . Tilda was painted with my Copics as usual, then cut out and dimensional stickers raised her off the small background of SU Vanilla card stock ( she was painted on Vanilla also ) I used a Copic to outline the edge of the Vanilla paper and then placed that on the floral paper, and placed that on the polka dot paper - my favourite! As you can see I used the awesome design paper as the base on my Vanilla card stock which I painted peach polka dots on around the edges. I sure hope I have mentioned all that I used......
Here is the front of the card:
Here is a close up :
Here is the inside:
It is great to be home again and I am looking forward to making lots of cards.
Thanks very much for taking a look at my blog - I so appreciate it :o)

I'm Home.........for a minute!
Hi so happy to be back and have a card to show you!
Returned from the trip to visit mom on Thursday late afternoon. Have been busy unpacking, doing laundry, cleaning house and PACKING again. We are leaving tomorrow for four days at Tofino on the West Coast of Vancouver Island. One of the prettiest places I know of.
Had to make a Mother's Day card to put in the mail on our way out tomorrow.
Hope you like this one. I just received my Gorjuss stamps when I got home and had to use one.
I had fun with the card but am disappointed with my white highlights cause I did something stupid but no time to redo the card :o(
Here is the front:
a closer look at Gorjuss:

A closer look at the pearls inside:
Thank you so very much for having a look today. If I don't see you before Mother's Day ~ I wish you all a great day with your families!!!
