Long time no see !! Two entries today.....

Gosh it has been ages since I last posted. My DH and I have been ill with something - who knows what. Finally have been able to make a few things.

I am at the end of my time with 'The Town Scrapper' so am just finishing up some work for Phebe. She sent me several Greeting Farm Images and asked that I make cards for her. I am trying to get them all done before we go away for our usual Fishing time at the north end of the Island. We usually go for most of the month of September. We aren't leaving till the 8th since we haven't been well enough to get ready sooner.

I have made two cards and a special gift package. I haven't yet made the card to go with the gift so I will show you that one in a day or two.

Here are the two cards I have just finished. As you know these go on display in her store - so I only do the outsides of these ones.

These little people were like dolls - they arrived in their underware!! LOL and then had different outfits to colour up and dress them in. I have done the little boy here ( the girl is the one you have to wait for teehee ).

I have used SU Chocolate Chip paper for the card itself and cut it so when scored and folded it is a 5 1/2" x 4 1/4" card - haven't made one this size in months! I also used SU Pumpkin 1/4" smaller and placed on the front. I used SU Chocolate Chip ribbon and wrapped it around the card twice.
I then stamped the house image, again from SU, called 'House of Haunts' onto Imaginisce Polka Dot DP and covered it with clear embossing powder and heated it. I then used my large Spellbinder Oval and cut out the image. Placed it on the top left corner and found a very small ghost 'rub on' in my stash that I put on the right, beside it.
I used one of the Sentiments that came with the 'Greeting Farm' images, stamped it onto the Polka Dot DP and used two Pumpkin Pie brads in the corners and mounted it onto more Chocolate Chip Paper. The little boy was stamped on white, as were his clothes. Coloured with Copics and cut out. I placed him on 3D tape as I did the sentiment.

After I took these two pictures I realized I hadn't added my white highlights so I took one more picture:

Now this image is my favorite of the "Greeting Farm" that I have!!
I can't help but smile everytime I look at it :o)

Isn't she just the 'cutest wee thing'???

For this card I used SU cardstock again : Pixie Pink. I also used white cards stock and Imaginisce DP called : Baby Powder - Hiccups!
I cut the cardstock my usual 11 1/2" by 5 1/2" so that when scored with my ScorPal it becomes a 5 1/2" card - my favorite size these days. I think there is probably a much easier way to make the rest of the card - but since I don't take lessons, this is how I made it! I cut the white card stock to 5 1/4" and the Imaginisce to 5" taped them together and then cut them out with my largest round Spellbinder plain circle. I then attached them to the pink card. I coloured my image with Copics :o) and then cut her out with the next smallest size Spellbinder Circle. I popped her up with 3D tape and sat her in the middle of my circle. Then I made a bow and sewed a pretty button on it with bright pink thread and attached it. I added 3 medium white pearls. I stamped the sentiment from " The Greeting Farm" onto the Pixie Pink and cut it out with my 1 1/4" punch. I doodled around the edges. I then punched out a 1 3/8 white circle and taped the two together and pop dotted them up at the bottom.

So that is it from me today - but watch for my giftie in the next day or so - just have the card to make and it is ready.........

Really hope you are all in much better health than we are. I am sure you are all getting ready to enjoy your last long weekend before school starts.
Keep safe and have fun........

Tingla would like to say goodnight!

Little Tingla is all bathed and ready for bed. She just wants to say goodnight to you all.

After a lovely Sunday, she is getting tired ............

Here is a picture a bit closer:

This card was made with SU cardstock: Pretty in Pink. Then a variety of DP from DCWV - Nursery - Baby Girl. The pink lace is from a store on Vancouver Island. The two buttons from an old nightie of mine! I tied them with a wee bit of hand embroidery thread in a light pretty green. The word ANGEL was punched out from the Design Paper. I stamped Tingla with Memento Tuxedo Black Ink on Gina K's Copic Paper - My last piece. Then I cut it with my second largest Spellbinder Nestie - plain circle.

Here are the Copics I used:

I used: Eoooo for her face, Eooo for the shadows, Ro1 for her cheeks; her hair was coloured with: Y11 and YG0000; Sleepers : YG41, G0000; her soother, hair ribbons, heart: R20, Roooo; her booties: R30, R01. I also used Roooo around the whole image.

On the inside I used the same DP and some tiny soft pink pearls from KaiserCraft. I cut out the centre of the right hand side with my large scalloped Spellbinder Circle.

Tingla and I hope you have a wonderful week ahead. Don't work too hard getting those wee children ready for school!

HOWDY!!! How about a Square Dance?

Howdy all!!
Ever feel like Square Dancing? Tilda is all decked out and ready to dance!!

She is finally home and ready to get going. Got herself a brand new dress and petticoats. Her hair is pulled out of her face and she is ready to : DO-SI-DO!!

For this card I used SU River Rock card stock ( out dated now ) which I brushed with SU Real Red Ink - I found some unknown red and white plaid from my stash and added SU Bella Rose Paper with the Red Roses. I stamped Tilda with Memento Tuxedo Black and coloured her with Copics. I used Ultra Find Glitter Ritz for her wings in Stardust as I was trying to keep things in the silver tones reminiscent of the 'old west'. I used two Prima flowers one red and one yellow and used silver stars for the centres of the flowers. Tilda was stamped and then cut out with my largest oval Spellbinders Die ( I only have the small set ). I put gathered red gingham ribbon on the back of the die and it is raised up on deep dimensional stickers. I then put lots of the tiniest silver flat backed pearls all around the die and I added four large ones in each corner. I have to applogise for the state of Tilda's hair on this card - my white pen, which has never worked correctly, did a bad thing for me so I had to cover up my highlights with lots of white to fix it!!!! :o(

On the inside of the card I used the same two DP's and cut the Bella Rose paper with a new border punch ( to me ) from Fiskars called - Dotted Wave. For the writing panel I simply cut a small square in keeping with all of the squares on this card and I pierced in each corner. On the left hand side I added another flower in the red and yellow, added a SU yellow glitter brad and a cow boy boot charm I was lucky enough to find in my stash from my quilting days!! Four more large silver pearls were added in two corners.

Here are the Copics I used on this card.

For her face I used :EOOOO, EOOO, EOO, and R21 for her cheeks;
C1 and C3 were used for her belt buckle; Hair, belt and boots : Y11, Y21,YR24; Dress and Hair Ribbon : R24, R27, R29; her blouse and socks were : YG91; YG95.
I am happy to be home again - it has been a very busy summer for me and extremely hot! Last Saturday I was able to take the Copic Certification Course on the mainland, so travelled there and back over 3 days.
Peanut had her operation on Monday and did very well. She is so tiny that when we picked her up she was very confused and sleepy from being put to sleep; so the whole of Monday afternoon, evening and over night I had to sit with her on my lap until she was finally awake enough not to fall and hurt herself. She is as happy as can be today and everything is great!! Last night I had my first decent sleep in over a month!! I am looking forward to many more LOL LOL
Thank you so much for looking at my card today. I hope you are all very well and enjoying the last part of summer before the children go back to school.........

Please meet Keisha!

Hello!

I have bought my first digital stamp image. Her name is Keisha, and she is from Mo Manning at: http://www.digitalpenciltoo.blogspot.comi/. I love her to death - hope you do to :o)

This little girl was so much fun to colour!!! I hope I have done her justice. I am sorry she has a hair over her face - I did not notice until I took the pictures - OH MY! It is gone now !

Here are a few close ups for you :o)

This card is for a special couple and it took me a while to decide on colours etc. But I am happy with what I finally decided on. Because it is for both a woman and a man I wanted it to have blue as well as pink in it.
I had a piece of pink card stock that had dimensional lines in it ( don't know where it is from ) so I used that for the card base, and ran the lines horizontally. I also had a piece of white with dimensional tiny hearts on it. I painted that whole piece with Pink Shimmerz and when it was dry I painted over the tiny hearts one at a time so they were darker. I used SU's lovely white Organza Ribbon and wrapped it around the heart paper and tied a big bow. I printed 'Keisha' onto Gina K's 120 lb. white card stock. After she was coloured I cut her down to size and placed her onto SU's Tempting Turquoise. One side of it was cut out with MS small Heart Border Punch. I attached the turquoise on an angle over the heart paper. I also stamped the sentiment with Tempting Turquoise ink, and with SU Marker in the same colour, ran it around the cut out which was done with the SU new Scallop Oval Punch.
On the inside of the card I used Imaginisce - Tiptoe Through Tulips. I cut borders on both pieces with MS larger Heart Punch and placed them on the Turquoise paper. I then stamped the second sentiment onto white card stock , bordered it with the turquoise and placed it on the Tulip paper....... both sentiment stamps are from the same set: ' Card Sentiments' from 'Clear Art Stamps'.
Here are some pictures of the inside of the card:

As usual I coloured with Copics. I am sorry I forgot to take a picture of them but these are the ones I used:
Face: R32, E33, E35; Hair: E09, E29; Dress, Hair Band, Shoes: R30, R21, R32, R0000; Basket: Y11, Y23, E33, E35; Flowers: Y15, BG0000, BG01; Leaves: G21, G24; Ear-rings and nail polish were also R32. I used Stickles: ear-rings and nail polish: Fruit Punch, Centre of Flowers: Yellow, Dress, hair band, ribbon and shoes: Cotton Candy.
Gosh that is a lot - I hope I have remembered everything!!!
I just wanted to show her to you as I had so much fun making the card today :o)
Love to you all and thank you so much for the wonderful comments you leave me.......

Happy Monday Morning!

Hi everyone - sorry it has been so long since I have posted. Life sometimes just doesn't go the way you would like it to. I have had some troubling things happen in the past while that have taken me a while to get over. Now our miniature doxie is very ill, and needs an operation to survive! Last week our son, Shawn and his family arrived. We had a full week of fun with him, his wife, Rhonda and our two wonderful grandchildren.

So the sad story is I am WAY behind in my Rain cards for two people on the Magnolia-licious Group. They were due in July but I wasn't able to get them made. I have started with one here and will do another tomorrow and then do the August Rain.............I can't say I am sorry enough to the two ladies who haven't yet received their cards.

Since I haven't got the new Summer Stamps as yet, and so many are making gorgeous cards with them. I decided to go in another direction and make a Halloween Card.

I had some fun with this one - I think Edwin is a doll in his costume :o)
Here are some close ups for you:

Here is the inside of the card: Left side -

Right side:

And for the first time I have taken a picture of the Copics that I used!
I always thought that I used so many and that was incorrect - but I now see other girls use about the same amount - so decided to show them also.
RECIPE:
Stampin' Up basic black card stock - 11" X 5 1/2 "
Orange DP that came with the Halloween Paper - I cut it 5 1/4 sq. and then used Orange Peel Stickles around the four edges of the paper. It was then attached to the black card.
I then cut the DP made by Bo Bunny ( 2008 ) and fussy cut the corner that I liked the best at 5" sq and used the Orange Peel Stickles to fill in parts of the pumpkin eyes, noses and mouths - but not all - just the part that was bright orange in colour.
I also fussy cut another DP that came with the Halloween set with my largest oval Spellbinder ( I only have the small set ) used demensional stickers to raise it off the background DP.
" Halloween Edwin " was stamped with Memento Tuxedo Black and coloured with my Copics and cut out. He was also raised with demensional stickers. I added Diamond Stickles to his hair, his bag and his Dracula Coat.
Don't you think the bat is the cutest?? All Magnolia stamps were purchased from Diana - and her address is on the right hand side of my blog. I painted the bat with Copics also and used the same Diamond Stickles to add interest to him.
For the inside of my card I used the same DP as I used for the oval on the front, for the left side. I stamped the bats (from PrintWorks) and the Halloween Tree with owl from SU - Set House of Haunts - with Stampin'Up basic black ink and then used clear embossing powder and heated it to make it shiny. The right side of the card was left black and I just added a bat sticker for the jotting place, plus two corner stickers to match the DP.

Hope you think this is a fun card. Many big thanks for looking at my blog today. I love to hear your comments on how I am progressing in my work :o)
Love, Candy
