Tilda on Parade

Hi friends!

Hope you are all having a wonderful start to your summer.

***************************

It is time once again for our COLOUR CHALLENGE

This month our Design Team Member
Linda has set the challenges for us :o)

Here is the picture she has shown us for inspiration:

RED, WHITE, BLUE

**************************

I have used: TILDA WITH FLAG #311
from the COZY AUTUMN COLLECTION

You can find her at Diana's Store  She is in stock right now!

***************************

Here is the front of my card:

Tilda has been mounted with 3-D tape.

I have used:
Card Stock - Bazzil White, Real Red and
Night of Navy from SU.
Also from SU - Red Striped Ribbon,
Dazzling Diamonds, as well as Real Red ink
on the white oval.
Sookwang tape, with Glitter Ritz:
Crystal, Fire Red and Western Blue.
Martha Stewart border punch.

Here is a close-up of Tilda:

I distressed the oval and then rubbed a touch
Real Red ink around the edge.

Here is a picture of the stars:

I punched out the star shapes with SU
large and small star punches.
I then covered the stars with Sookwang
tape and covered each one with
Glitter Ritz. They have been mounted also
with 3-D tape, a little thicker than what
I used for Tilda.

Here is the ribbon with bow:

And a quick view of the inside:

It is decorated the same as the front -
with the same oval on the right hand side,
and a few stars on the left.

Please rush over to the Challenge Blog
to see the rest of the DT's work!

Hope you have enjoyed my creation today :o)
THANK YOU for visiting.

********************

Please join us at the Challenge Blog
by showing us your card!

Remember that Diana gives away
a $25.00 GIFT CERTIFICATE

Tilda is playing outside!

Hi Maggie Friends :o)

Two weeks sure go by fast!
INSPIRATION CHALLENGE.

Please take a look at the Design Teams work on the blog,
and remember you could win a Gift Certificate if you
enter our Challenge!

Paola, this months DT Member, has given us
this picture:

****************************

I saw the light wood dresser and white basket
as well as flowers and stripes.

So that was what I intended to portray LOL

I have never had as much trouble making a
card as I had this time!
No matter what I did, it turned out wrong
and had to be redone :o(
I finally just had to go with this result...........

My card:

I have learned a valuable lesson when paper piecing.
Next time I will use my Prismacolor Pencils
to shade with. You can see that the
Copics did NOT work on Designer Paper!
I thought I could use them sparingly to just
make my shading - but they went horribly dark and ugly :o(

My intention was to paper piece Tilda's clothes
with what I thought was the perfect light brown with pink dots,
Design Paper from SU.
As you can see my card base is white as are the
background pieces behind the floral paper.
I have lost all feeling of the white by distressing
all of it with 'Pretty in Pink' ink from SU :o(

I have used papers from NitWits - called 'Bumbleberry Too'.
I thought the pink flowers and matching striped paper
were a great choice.
By trying to decorate my card
more than I usually do you can hardly see
the paper or my very pretty lace!
I also know that I will have to use much wider
lace next time!!

My card isn't what I wanted it to be at all,
but I sure learned a lot from it LOL

Here are some close-up pictures for you:

Tilda:

Doohickey Swirl Die:

Hand made flowers:

Materials:
'Rocking Tilda' # 270 from the
Sweet Rainbow Collection.
Card stock: Whisper White - SU
Dazzling Diamonds - SU
Pearls and flower lace - stash
Crystal Lacquer
Misc. Leaf punch

*********************

I sure hope my next card will be much better!
Thanks for looking :o)

the Design Team has made.
If you make a card and enter it, you could win
A TWENTY-FIVE DOLLAR
GIFT CERTIFICATE.

For our Colour Challenge - Paola has given us this picture to go by:

Isn't it the cutest??
Sure wish I could have found a pink telephone to add to my card :o)

In the end - I decided to go for a phone theme in pink and silver LOL
Talk about using my head!!!!
** GRIN

Here is the front of my card:

I felt it would have been just too plain to only use solid pink
paper, so for a change I used quite a few for this card.

Tilda with small gift ( gift cut off ) #293
You Are So Special Collection - January 2011
( I am so sorry she is out of stock at this time. I am sure she will be back soon )

Card Stock - SU - Whisper White
Card Stock - Bazzil - Pink and Lime Green
Design Paper - Telephones - Alphabet Soup : Call Me
Design Paper - soft floral and lime green polka dot - Nit Wit
Silver paper - corner die
Silver lace on bottom of Tilda's dress is : Glitter Ritz - Silver

Here is Tilda closer up:

She is mounted on thick 3D tape to the die cut circles.

Here is the inside of my card:

I really wanted the telephones to be the focal point,
so did the whole left page just with them and did
a similar design from the front for the right side.
By the way the silver bow with rhinestones is
from a bobby pin that I found!

Here is a closer picture for you:

I had fun making another of my Plain and Simple Cards.
Hope you have enjoyed it as well!

Thank you so much for taking the time to look at my work
and leave the wonderful comments that I love to read :o)

Magnolia-licious Inspiration Challenge # 7

Welcome to early morning Tuesday!
Wishing you all a wonderful day :o)

wonderful Inspiration Picture.

**************************

I noticed most, the colours: BLACK, PURPLE, and YELLOW.

I was lucky to find a pretty piece of Design Paper from
BoBunny called Jazmyne Botanical. I have had this
in my paper stash for a year or more!!
With it's pretty little flowers raised and with bling
already applied to the soft yellow background.
I had to use it :o)
I paired it with Bazzil in Black and Purple.

My Tilda image is from: Autumn/Halloween 2008 Collection - not in Diana's store :o(
and my sentiment is: #702 from: Butterfly Dreams Collection 2011

***************************

Here is the front of my card:

Here is a close-up of Tilda:

Here is a close up of the inside:

And here is the entire card:

*********************************

I have raised the dragonfly with 3-D tape.
Also used dark green pearls from my stash,
and Dazzling Diamonds from SU.
I used Spellbinders Nesties Label 10
in 3 sizes, Spellbinders Fancy Labels,
and Doohickey small Dragonfly die.

Copics will be listed below.

It's Edwin!!!

Surprise!! Edwin is here to see you today :o)

Poor fellow - none of us use him as much as we should.

I decided it was long past due for him to come out and say hi!

This is my card for the MAGNOLIA-LICIOUS CHALLENGE BLOG this week.

******************************************************

Please be sure to take some time to go see all of the Design Team cards -they are wonderful!! You can click on the above link and take it from there, or you can click on the girls names on my sidebar to the right.
**Also if you enter a card in OUR CHALLENGE you could win a $25.00 GIFT CERTIFICATE from Diana's Store!

**********************************************************************************

The COLOUR CHALLENGE this week comes from NORMA!  What a beautiful card maker she is - I think you all will agree :o)

She has picked for the CHALLENGE - Only BLACK, WHITE, and ONE OTHER colour.
Here is her picture:

Isn't that something! I love it :o)

For my card I choose the colour RED for my third colour.

My image is: EDWIN WITH TULIPS BEHIND HIS BACK # 107 at Diana's Store

Here is my card:

This is my very first time to colour white and black and I must say I am having trouble
liking poor Edwin's face!
I am sure I will get used to it soon though and one of these days I will try
a complete card in just the two colours of black and white.
I am very happy that my first attempt can have the third colour to brighten it all up :o)

Here are a couple of close ups for you.

One of the bow and button:

Another of Edwin up close so you can see the bit of Stickles on his wings and roses.

I really had to scrounge for paper this time. I have so little of it.

The black with white ticking came from: Close to My Heart

The white with black polka dots came from: Stampin'Up

The black with large red polka dots, I made with a hole punch and my Stampin'Up
Basic Black and Real Red.

The pearls are from Stampin'Up too.

The ribbon arrived on a gift at Christmas and the button was in my button jar. I simply
tied it with scrappers white floss before attaching it to the ribbon.

Here are my Copic Colours - so MANY of them this time * grin:

C9, C7, C5, C3, C1, C0, C00
R39, R37, R35, R32

Thank you so much for visiting me today.

Hope you have a wonderful week!

I choose to do a Carousel Horse - I think many of us did :o)

Both my images are from DIANA'S STORE: CIRCUS TILDA #367 and CAROUSEL HORSE #433

Here is the front of my card:

As you can see I have made my card out of Gold Card Stock.
Then I have used Bazzil Red and used a MS corner punch of Bubbles.
I used a new Spellbinder die to cut out a purple piece of Bazzil.

My horse is coloured with Copic's as always LOL ( listed at end of post )
I have used two tickets that I purchased somewhere? a long while ago.
I have also used Gold pearls from Michaels.
The horses mane, tail and hoofs have Crystal Lacquer on them.
I have also used Dazzling Diamonds from SU for several places on the horses 'clothes'.

Here are more pictures:

The inside of my card:

Tilda has Crystal Lacquer on her shoes.
Her head band and all the lace bits of her dress have Dazzling Diamonds on them.
I used two pieces of 1/4 inch gold ribbon to pick up the gold from the card front.

Here is the right hand side of the card:

With all my love........

                                                      Hello everyone!

I have had a challenge given to me by Diana to make a card using a
                                               sketch she sent to me.
Here is the picture of it :

I really quite like it.
I have used the sketch to make my card for
Colour Challenge #6

This month at the Challenge Blog, it is PAT FRANK'S  turn to choose the
                                             Challenges for us all.
Pat's work is awesome - you should all take a look at her blog.
You will love all of her cards :o)

The COLOUR CHALLENGE for this month is : PINK and GREEN.
Here is the beautiful picture Pat has given us:

                                                  What a great photo!!!!

I chose to use ' WAITING TILDA' from "YOU ARE SO SPECIAL'
                                           Collection - January 2011.
She is number 315 at DIANA'S STORE.
I have also used the sentiment ' with all my love'
it is number 710 from the same collection
                                               at DIANA's STORE.
( Blogger has been updated and won't let me put the link in for these two images :o(
if you go to the YOU ARE SO SPECIAL PAGE at DIANA'S STORE  and click
on page two you will find WAITING TILDA partway down the page. The sentiment
is found on page 3 - second from the bottom. )

Here is my card for today's Challenge: * my pictures are clickable for larger view again *

This little Tilda has had my heart since I first saw her. She reminds me of myself. Shy
and quiet and FULL of LOVE - not quiet knowing how to say
                                                I LOVE YOU........
Today she has finally gotten brave enough to tell that special person how she feels!

Here is a picture of her close up:

Isn't she just the sweetest wee thing ever???

I also have a picture of my flower close up so that you
can see the Stickles I added to the centre and the
Crystal Lacquer I added as drops of
water to some of the petals.

Here is the inside left of my card:

                                            Here is the inside right:

My style of card making is Clean and Simple. I hope it
helps you all realize that you don't need to have a lot of 'stuff' on a card to make it
attractive and a joy to receive for those special in your life.

Happy First Day of Spring!

IF YOU ARE LOOKING FOR THE EASTER - SPRING EXTRAVAGANZA BLOG HOP ~
PLEASE LOOK ONE BLOG ENTRY DOWN**

Do you feel spring in the air? I'm still waiting :o) But really looking forward to it.
I have started Nordic Walking and have lost 1/3 of my body weight between that, exercise and eating properly for Diabetes. I can hardly wait to walk in the sunshine and not in the rain and be able to get out everyday and not have to wait for snow to melt *grin*!

Today is Inspiration Challenge # 5 at Magnolia-licious Challenge Blog

As you know, our very talented DT Member ANGELA is our member choosing the Challenges this month.
Here is her picture for your Inspiration:

Angela says:
~interpret this in any of these ways ~
colours, Easter, Easter Eggs, green grass, Cross, Religious

I don't think it could be any easier with all of these wonderful possibilities!!

***********************************************************

Here is the card I have made for the Challenge:

I have seen this sweet sweet Tilda all over blog world this past couple of weeks.         Everyone is so in love with her. I hope I have done her justice.
I was waiting and waiting for a sunny day to take my pictures - ran out of days and had to take them on a very dark and rainy day. Please accept my apology for them being so dark :o(

My images are:
Hoppy Easter Collection 2010 ~ Bunny Background # 646 and 'Happy Easter' # 715
Butterfly Dreams Collection 2011 ~ Tilda with Hanging Rabbit # 252

Here is a picture a bit closer of the Bunny Background:

I found the scene wasn't quite big enough for what I wanted so I used my Copic Multiliner Pen
0.3 and drew more ground, tall grass and flowers and clouds as well as little dots of shadow so it matched the image I stamped.

Here is Tilda with her little friend:

If you look closely you can just detect the Crystal Lacquer on the bunny's nose :o)

I have also put the same Lacquer liberally onto her boots - couldn't for the life of me get a good picture of it - but have decided to show you a rather bad one - at least you can see the shiny yellow rubber boots!

I also made a 5 loop bow out of some terrific ribbon - here is a picture of it:

I made this with my Bow-Easy of course :o)

Here is a picture of the inside left of the card:

Of course the right inside :

Recipe will follow!

*********************************

I hope you are all jazzed up to make a new card for our Challenge.
Remember you can win a $25.00 Gift Certificate if you win :o) :o) :o)

See you next time!
Love,
 Candy
