This evening I have made a Magnolia Card for one of the people in my group.
This one has several things on it I have never done before - so I hope the lady will like it?
I have used Gina K 120lb card stock for the actual card base. Then used SU Whisper White for the rest of the card. The Gina K is so thick it is hard to cut with punches if you want to do a good job.
I guess we shall call this my 'White' Card. There is a touch of colour but very little.
I painted Miss Tilda with Copics , used a very soft purple ribbon for her to sit on. Today I made my own flower to see what it would come out like. I stamped a background stamp of tiny flowers on all the pieces before I put the flower together, and I also went around all the edges with a matching Copic pen. I wanted just a 'hint' of colour on this card. I have used my oval scalloped Nestie, my polka dot Cuttlebug embossing folder. Some beautiful new ribbon from SU, as well as a button from my stash., The inside of the card is very very old paper I had, that I thought would look nice with the plain work on the outside.
Here is a picture of the full size front of the card:
Here are a couple of close ups : you will notice that this time I left a small amount of white card stock all around Tilda when I cut her out - that is because I wanted to take my very light mauve Copic and put that as a shadow around her. It is barely noticeable in the pictures - but it does look nice on the actual card............
Here is one of my first hand made flower:
And of course the inside of this one:
As you can see it is a real departure from the last three cards that I have made!!!!
Thank you to everyone who comes to take a peek. I so enjoy hearing from you all.
Hope you all have a good week, now that holidays are over and it is time for back to school and work........
Love Candy

Candy!! You do absolutely ...gorgeous work and I love the flower!
Oh my gosh this quite took my breath away. it is so, so dainty and so many elements make the card incredibly interesting, a sort of shabby chic. I don't have the heart nestabilities but I do have a scallop heart punch so I will try to make this flower. It is gorgeous!
hugs,
Diana
