It's Edwin!!!

Surprise!! Edwin is here to see you today :o)

Poor fellow - none of us use him as much as we should.

I decided it was long past due for him to come out and say hi!

This is my card for the MAGNOLIA-LICIOUS CHALLENGE BLOG this week.

******************************************************

Please be sure to take some time to go see all of the Design Team cards -they are wonderful!! You can click on the above link and take it from there, or you can click on the girls names on my sidebar to the right.
**Also if you enter a card in OUR CHALLENGE you could win a $25.00 GIFT CERTIFICATE from Diana's Store!

The COLOUR CHALLENGE this week comes from NORMA!  What a beautiful card maker she is - I think you all will agree :o)

She has picked for the CHALLENGE - Only BLACK, WHITE, and ONE OTHER colour.
Here is her picture:

Isn't that something! I love it :o)

For my card I choose the colour RED for my third colour.

My image is: EDWIN WITH TULIPS BEHIND HIS BACK # 107 at Diana's Store

Here is my card:

This is my very first time to colour white and black and I must say I am having trouble
liking poor Edwin's face!
I am sure I will get used to it soon though and one of these days I will try
a complete card in just the two colours of black and white.
I am very happy that my first attempt can have the third colour to brighten it all up :o)

Here are a couple of close ups for you.

One of the bow and button:

Another of Edwin up close so you can see the bit of Stickles on his wings and roses.

I really had to scrounge for paper this time. I have so little of it.

The black with white ticking came from: Close to My Heart

The white with black polka dots came from: Stampin'Up

The black with large red polka dots, I made with a hole punch and my Stampin'Up
Basic Black and Real Red.

The pearls are from Stampin'Up too.

The ribbon arrived on a gift at Christmas and the button was in my button jar. I simply
tied it with scrappers white floss before attaching it to the ribbon.

Here are my Copic Colours - so MANY of them this time * grin:

C9, C7, C5, C3, C1, C0, C00
R39, R37, R35, R32

Thank you so much for visiting me today.

Hope you have a wonderful week!

Candy

Oh, it's adorable! I love your paper choices, Candy. The color combo has to be my most favorite. I think your Edwin looks so cute. I think he's a bit chagrined because he forgot Mother's Day! Your card has such a clean look about it which is one of the advantages of black, white, and red. Great job!

OMG, Candy, my eyes targeted on Edwin’s pants right away. Oh what a fabulous job you’ve done in colouring them. You’ve aced doing folds. You go girl! I love the red of course—it’s one of the best colours to go with the B&W. Your faux stitching looks wonderful. Love the clean look also.

Norma

Hi Candy! Your card is simply gorgeous Candy! What a great idea to add this splash of red and brighten it up! Love how you have layered teh papers and I think Edwin's face looks great in grey. I also made a monochromatic card last week and I think faces look perfect in grey too. I think it is a matter of taste:)
That bow is the perfect addition together with the pearls! Love it!
