Hello - hello!

Hi everyone! I bet you thought you had heard the last from me?? I am sorry that I have been missing in action. I have been working on cards - just wasn't able to post any until the dates of the occasions had passed. So in the next week you should see a couple more.
This card I made for Glenda - those of you in the Magnolia-licious group will recognise her name. She is my friend and lives about 5 minutes from me :o) Glenda's Birthday is on May 4th, but she opened her card this morning as she won't be home next week.
This was a White on White Challenge from 'Sassy Cheryl's' group - but I really wanted to make a Magnolia card with it.

Happy Sunday!

Hi from sunny Port Alberni! Three days now of nippy but sunny weather. We have been working in the yard and I have been walking each day. Hope your weather is starting to get spring like too!
I am so excited to say I received a RAK from 'Sandy' of Cryogen White paper. It is the one with the sparkles in it. I have been wishing for some of it for a very long time. I wasted no time in making my card with it and LOVE the way it looks.
I have made a card for a dear friend who lost her husband in January. They were in our Wedding Party 41 years ago!

It is another fairly plain card - I just can't seem to make one with tons of layers, flowers etc. on it.
Card stock: SU River Rock - *YAY they are bringing it back!
Design Paper: All Digital from NITWITS - love it
Ink: Momento Tuxedo Black for Tilda and SU River Rock for all papers
Stickles: Crystal
Flower: Prima
Ribbon: SU Certainly Celery.
Colored with Copics ( picture follows )
Here is Tilda a bit closer:

Also the very pretty flower:

I am sorry I can't show you the inside - once again I wrote in it before I remembered I wanted to take a picture of it!!! This old head LOL
Here is a picture of the Copics I used:
Thank you for taking a look at it :o)
Hope to see you again soon ~ Love Candy

I'm Home!!

Hello everyone! I am home again. Actually been home for two weeks now but have been so busy with THINGS - ARG!!
Last weekend I quickly made two birthday cards for our Grandchildren and an Easter Card for my mom. I am afraid they didn't come out as well as I had hoped they would. I have been away for too long and have lost all my ideas :o( I also found I had trouble when it came to colouring my images. Couldn't seem to do anything right. However I am posting what I have done because this blog is supposed to be a reminder to me of where I am. No Easter cards for Brandon and Mariah this year as their Birthdays fall on Easter....

Here is Brandon's birthday card:

I found this perfect sterling silver charm for it at Michaels!!

Here is the inside:

Here is Mariah's card:

Finally a new card!

Hi Everyone!
Sorry I have been away from my card making for so long. Sometimes life just gets in the way.
I have a short post today and then - I am off to the mainland to visit my mom and baby-sit our Grandchildren - so once again you won't see me for about 3 weeks :o( I will sure miss my cards......
Anyway - this is one I made for my girlfriend Heather, who I have known since I was 12 and am still in touch with 48 years later!!! So nice to have someone in your life who knows you so well and all you have gone through in your life!!! THANKS HEATHER :o)
The image is from Sugar Nellie and is one of my favourites!

Here she is a little closer:

A very plain card this time but I really wanted to showcase the colouring of this one and little else.
Oh nuts - I don't think you can see the little Stickles I added to the middle of the flowers so here is another picture:

The Stickles and pearls were all that I added and I coloured with Copics as usual.
Sorry no pictures of the inside, as I wrote on it before I remembered to take them :o(
I will miss you all and be anxious to come home again and get on with my cards.
Take good care of yourselves. See you .........

Oh TEENAGERS! What can I say LOL

Happy Sunday to everyone :o) I imagine a lot of you will be busy watching, or entertaining guests for the Super Bowl in USA today!!

Thanks for taking a minute to have a look at my new card.
This wonderful image is from Mo Manning. If you haven't seen Mo's images as yet, you must take a look at her store. Her drawing is amazing and you will fall in love with many of her digital images.

This card I made for my 13 year old nephew. Apparently he has recently died his lovely blond hair something called: Blackberry Black!!! Sooooo I have made the hair that very colour. I don't think it comes through with the camera, but believe me in person that is exactly the colour! LOL LOL Sure hope he likes the card. If he keeps it - should remind him in later years what he did when he was 13 * grin *

As always I have decorated the inside of the card as well as the outside, but today am just showing the outside as I took several pictures trying to get 'that hair'.

It was a blast to colour this one. As usual I used my Copics.
I also used SU card stock both Whisper White and Basic Black. I made the polka dot paper from the computer. The ribbon, birthday tag and phone charm are all from my stash:

Here is the entire card:

Here is a closer look:

Here is a little look at the embellishments:

Thanks a lot for visiting and enjoy the big game :o)

A Second Son a Second Edwin Birthday Card!!

Hi everyone! I bet you are all looking forward to a wonderful weekend ahead!! Sure hope it is great...........
I am going on a trip to visit our youngest son and I leave on Sunday January 24th and will return on February 3rd. So this is my last post until then.
Ryan has a Birthday on the day I am arriving at his house! Our two boys are only 5 days apart in January LOL { and that is only a small portion of our family January Birthdays :o)}
Ryan is a masterful guitar player who writes his own music and sings as well. I was SO happy when I found Guitar Edwin #137 at Diana's store. I also received the 'Window Curtain' # 547 from Diana the other day and wanted to use it too. AND I also used the 'Spring Tree'- it is from the 2009 Easter Collection.

For this card I used my new Air Gun ( from Diana ) for the first time and didn't have a clue how to use it! But I tried and managed a sky for the outside. The tree is stamped and coloured with Copics. I stamped and cut out the window pains then coloured the frame and the curtains. Then I stamped the curtains onto a DP and cut them out shaped them and pop dotted them on top of the original curtains.

Edwin was then coloured with Copics, cut out and place on deeper pop dots so he sits in front of the window.

I used SU card stock: Craft and Pumpkin Pie and two unknown and very old Design papers. For the left inside I ran the Pumpkin through the Music embossing folder and for the right side I just stamped the sentiment onto the Design paper.

So HAPPY BIRTHDAY Ryan - see you in a couple of days :o)
And see the rest of you when I return - bye bye for now ~ Candy
