HOT LITTLE TILDA

Good Morning Peeps :o)
I love that word!

* I have blog candy today *

Today's Challenge at
is
SOME LIKE IT HOT

I have used # 398 Tilda in Key Largo
from the Summer Memories Collection
2012.
The weather has been strange for some time. Fortunately (or unfortunately LOL ) at my house
( this week ) it is hot hot hot!

Little Tilda decided to take a long
bike ride, having no idea how hot she
would get! As she past the lake
she just had to take a dip.

card front:

She had her new summer dress on
and knew she couldn't get it wet, so she
waded in as deep as she could.

She took of her sunglasses and laid
her bike safely on the grass.
The sun was beating down on her,
but getting her feet and legs wet
made her feel so much better.

open at one fold

For today I made a different kind
of folded card. I am sorry I can't
remember what it is called or where
I saw it :o(  It might be called
a side fold?

right side when open

On the left side there is a mountain
and two valley folds - so there is a lot
of room for writing. Also that is
how it stands up.

I used a punch from Michael's Reflection
Line which is a summer theme of
sand castles, pails and shovels.
I punched both the top and
bottom of my card and used
quite a bit of Tim Holtz
distress ink: Vintage Photo
to make it stand out.

I have used Nitwits Paper
called Hello Sunshine for my design paper.
The whole card, back and front
are covered completely with it.
My Card Stock is Whisper White from S.U.

As well as Tilda, the sun is a Magnolia
Stamp called: Tilda's sun.
Both dies are from Magnolia as well.
I punched out two grasses in
different colour greens, and the bicycle
which I used the same Distress Ink,
plus some Stickles.

I alternated the grass and slid the
bike down and between the grass.
The sun was stamped on my paper,
coloured and cut out.
The rays of the sun are bent in
different ways and fall off
the card.

This is my first time using
Frantage! I love it, but
learned I need to apply it
differently next time.

I also used the blue Pearl Pen
for the first time on my card.
Believe it or not I have practiced
quite a while with it to get
my pearls perfected. BUT
when I took the lid off
and turned it over to use
it dropped like water on my card :o(
It was so hot in my house it
had melted!! So of course it
doesn't look good at all.

The glasses are from my stash
and the seashells are some that
I have collected. They are so tiny.
Most of my shells are a lot larger,
but these ones were so pretty.

You must check out
The last collection called

besides stamps. She has paper with
matching envelopes, charms, many die

A wonderful array of special things!
