Happy Saturday Everyone!!

How are you all? I hope not many of you had the snow we had in the middle of the week!!!
Today is was a beautiful day lovely bright and sunny although the wind was brisk. It was the kind of day you wanted to be out in the yard working except that it is far too cold here yet and nothing is growing. I know though it won't belong until the weather warms up and then I will be too HOT LOL LOL!!!!!!!!!!

So I shall say no more about the weather :o)

I made a card today for the Magnolia-licious April Challenge. Many in the group have made theirs already and I am sure you have seen a lot of them. They are absolutely beautiful - they get better every month.

I plod along here doing the best I can. I have had an idea in my head for some time now and today I thought I would try to get it on a card! WELL...........you know how it goes some times. You can't seem to do what you thought you could and you thought you had something but you don't and the card keeps changing as the time goes on.

This is the end result of my card for today. It is coloured with Copics of course - and I am out of several colours and can't find anyone in Vancouver or area who sells the reinkers :o(.......You may notice my little girl is very light today as I barely had enough ink to finish her off in the colours I like to use. My card stock is Bazzil with a texture and my two DP are some I picked up such a long time ago in Vancouver, but they don't have names on the back of them :o( , I also used SU soft sky. The elements I used were some micro beads for the seaweed, two MS punches for the shell and the sea horses, and 3 tiny shells I collected.

Here is the front of the card:

Here is a better close up of Tilda:

Here is a picture of the embellishments:

And finally a photo of the inside:

I hope you can figure out what I was trying to accomplish here :o)

Have a GREAT weekend everyone and see you back here real soon, I hope!

Thank you - Candy

Hello

Gosh Friday was a long time ago now, wasn't it??? Well my brand new camera got stuck on OFF and I couldn't do a thing with it. It worried me for 5 days until I was finally able to get a hold of my son who helped me figure it out. * You have to know I am getting old and all of these new contraptions are just too much for me to figure out LOL ~ now I sound like my grandma used, to long ago LOL

So I have made some cards and sent them on there way and wasn't able to take pictures for you - I just thought I should tell you so you didn't think I had done nothing all of this time.

I was lucky that I had my camera fixed last night so took two quicky pictures of the Easter cards I made for my Grandchildren. I had to pack up their gifts really fancy this morning and put the cards in the box on the top so they wouldn't get ruined. I only took pictures of the front.

I had decorated the insides really cute with little rabbits and baby chicks - put them in fancy circles and then covered them in diamond gloss - but I had also written little notes inside each one and I couldn't take pictures of that :o(

I also discovered something else while taking these pictures. When you use a lot of glitter there must be a trick to take close up pictures of your work that I don't know. I took my usual two pictures of the front - but both times the close ups were too weird for you to see from all the bling :o( I will have to ask someone in the know about that........

So after all this yapping here are the two little cards:

First one is for our Grandson,

and this one is for our Granddaughter:

Nothing earth shattering but just wanted you to see them and let you know I am still around.
It seems Murphys Law is still following me around, making sure I have a tough time working all of my toys here :o)

Really hope to see you all soon.

I also want to thank you so very much for taking the time to come and look at my cards - you are so kind.........

TGIF Everyone :o)

Hi ~ I hope you are all enjoying your Friday afternoon and looking forward to your weekend.

I have another quick post for you. This is a little Tilda that I haven't seen anyone else on the Magnolia group use before.

I have used DCWW paper stacks for this one. Both Grade School Pack and Glitter Pack. Diamond glaze for her glasses, stickles for her wings and a bit in her hair, red ribbon from Gina K and a small silver charm from my stash.

Thanks for taking a peak!!
See you soon,

Hi Friends!

Hope you all had a nice weekend. It has been raining most of the time where I live, but at least that means it is warming up and spring can't be far away!

Just a quick post this afternoon to show you a very quiet Easter Card.

This is made with a new Magnolia image that I received last week: Tilda with Chicks.

Recipe: Design paper Making Memories - flower patch ( I used the other side of this double sided paper ). Colouring is done with Copics. Stickles: Yellow, Antique Linen and Star Dust in very small quantities. Bella baubles in tourquois - 4; and SU paper : So Saffron, Tempting Tourquois, Baja Breeze and Whisper White.

Hello - hello - hello !!!!!!!!

Hi!

It has been a frustrating exersize trying to get my blog to work again and I hope that I have finally done so! It has taken two weeks of hour upon hour of work for me since I have no experience with computers at all!!!!!!

I would like to post a few cards today and I am so happy to be back :o)

The first card is another Birthday Card for a friend. The stamp is from Bella and is called 'poppy BITTYBLOOM' I used Basic Grey - Urban Prairie / bountiful as my DP; and matching SU paper for the rest of it.
I used S'U dazzling diamonds; and ribbon and crystals from Michaels. I also used my Fiskars border punch, and acriylic white paint.

Here is a close up:

And the inside:

The verse:

The next card is a Sympathy one:

This card uses Whisper White, Gray and black cardstock from Stampin' Up. I stamped the top half of the card with one of my background stamps in dark gray, used some of the gray paper and put through my cuttlebug embossing folder. They were mounted on the black and I used the ribbon to mask the place where they joined. The cross and all other stamps including the sentiment are from 'Papertrey Ink'. I again used a couple of crystals from Michaels.

Here is the inside:

The next card is a Mingle made for Magnolia-licious. The theme was to take a NON - Easter image and make it into an Easter Card. All of my fine plans for this one went out the window when I couldn't find the things I wanted to use. I had to use old things in my stash and make do. I hope it looks Easter enough to fit the challenge???

You may have to look real close to see what is going on!

Here are a couple of close ups:

And of course the inside:

Thank you all for haning in there with me while my blog was out of order. I hope to be back with you on a regular basis now.
