Another Challenge card for Sassy Cheryl :o)

Hi there!

It's raining cats and dogs at my house today and the temperature is dropping each day. Didn't get my walk in because of the weather, but the past two days had to wear some mittens to keep my hands warm!

Since I won some wonderful digital images from Sassy Cheryl's I want to enter her challenges when I am able.

This week the challenge is to use Tulle on your card. I had just bought some of this stuff about a week ago but really didn't know too much to do with it. So I tried one of the Lollypop flowers I had heard about.

My tulle shopping spree didn't 'net' ( LOL LOL ) me too many colours, so to match my card I used two colours together to hopefully get the softer tone of blue that was required. White and Turquoise were used alternately.

I'll show you the card front:

Here is a closer picture of my Digi Image: Tiny Tabitha and my flower:

I used some awesome Design Paper from last year of MME called 'I Believe'
The card front uses SU Real Red and the strip of red down the middle is Bazzil Polka dots in red.
I distressed all my papers with Tim Holtz Distress ink called 'Vintage Photo'.
Used Crystal Stickles on each flower layer with a red rhinestone in the middle.

Here is the inside of the card - Left side:

The right hand side:

I coloured Tiny Tabitha with my Copics - brand new red juicy ones that I had trouble controlling!! ( I will list the colours at the end ) I used SU Dazzling Diamonds on her hat and at the bottom of her coat. I used Crystal Lacquer
on her shoes and the ice she is standing on - don't think you can see that :o(
Used a brand new Spellbinder Nestie to me: 'Lacey Squares' - large.
Other than my adventure with the red colours this image was a real joy to colour. I printed her onto Cryogen White card stock with all the little glitter pieces in it and also used a piece on the inside for writing. The lovely bright red ribbon is from SU as well.

Hope you like this little card......

Love, Candy

I can't tell you how honoured I am to have been chosen by Diana Crick, to not only be a part of the new Design Team, but to be the Leader of the group as well!!!
We have the most awesome group of Design Team Members ever and you are going to LOVE each and every one of their projects.
Every two weeks we will have a new challenge for you! A 'COLOUR CHALLENGE' on the second Tuesday of the month and an 'INSPIRATION CHALLENGE' on the fourth Tuesday.
The first Colour Challenge is mine and I have chosen PINK and YELLOW.
My project today is a simple one. I wanted you to see that you don't need a lot of 'fancy' or 'special things' to make a Challenge worthy card :o)

I have used 'TILDA IN WINDY WEATHER' #299 Cozy Autumn Collection, from Diana's online store. It looks like she is out of stock at the moment, but I am sure she will be back 'in' soon :o)
Here is a closer picture: I am sorry my camera wasn't working properly for some reason the day I took my pictures and Tilda looks a little blurred in both pictures -

Here is the inside of my card:

Please, won't you join us for this Challenge? We would love it if you would. All of the instructions are on the Challenge Blog

Sassy Cheryl's Blog Challenge

Hi everyone!
I have a short post for today.
I was so surprised and lucky to win Sassy Cheryl's gift certificate for $25.00 last week!! Yahoo!!!!
I went right over there an purchased a bunch of images. Sure was hard to decide which ones to buy * giggle - so many to choose from and they are all just so CUTE!
This is a sweet little card I made for the challenge at her site this week.

Pretty simple but so much fun to do.
The beautiful tree is the 'Willow Tree' from Diana's Magnolia Store - the cute little boy is called 'See No Evil' from Sassy Cheryl.
I made the sentiment on the computer and cut it out with the 'Fancy Tags' from Spellbinders and added some ribbon from my stash.
Hope you enjoy it ~ see you soon, Love Candy

Another little card today....

Today I had an hour to make a card for my neighbour. It is her Birthday.
Not much time - so I used an image I had coloured with my Copics many months ago. The image is by: Diane Duda from Sugar Nellie. She is called 'Believe'. So no colours to tell you once again. This will stop :o)
The card stock is from Stampin'Up. The pink is: Pink Passion and the blue is: Tempting Turquoise. Design paper is a little piece I found in my scrap pile.
After making the card ( 5 1/2" x 4 1/4" ) I took my other pieces of paper and put them through my Zutter Distrezz-It-All.
All edges were inked with Tim Holtz Vintage Photo. The little image is mounted on two other small pieces and then onto 3 D tape to raise it up. The two bright coloured flowers are from Prima and the brad is from DCWV.
I used Crystal Lacquer on the two crowns and the cats nose; Diamond Stickles on the star on her wand and on the dots on her dress. I wish now I hadn't put it on the polka dots because you can no longer see the shading I did on them. Then because I wanted to use my new Stampin'Up: Silver Glass Glitter I put in on all four wings. This was a mistake because it is far too big and heavy for these little wings. However it was easy and quick to use so I will use it again for something bigger.
This is the result:

Thanks for taking a look :o)

Hello!!

Well! I am home once again and I hope to be home for a good long time.
Mom had a terrible fall this spring, so I went over to help her out until she was able to walk again and felt better. I came home for 4 days and had a phone call that she was in emergency with bronchitis, dehydration and heart failure so went back and stayed for quite some time.....I then came home for 4 weeks, during which I had company and a garage sale - of all things!!! Then back I went again to make sure she was going OK on her own. Thank the Lord she is able to look after herself still and is completely better.

I find that after such a long absence I had a very hard time making my first card. I think I have told you of this problem I have before. It is hard to choose an image, then the paper and then the layout. It is like starting for the first time again!! The more I think about it the harder it is. I finally jumped in and made a card......Certainly not one of my best, but I hope the first of many more to come on a regular basis.

This one I have made for my brother and his wife's Wedding Anniversary. I bought them from Diana - of course :o) - they are called ' Loving Bridal Couple ' and are number #168 from the BRIDAL COLLECTION 2010

The card stock is Bazzil and is actually Vanilla, but I have antiqued all the edges of it, as well as of all the Design papers with Tim Holtz 'Vintage Photo'. Design Papers are 'Basic Grey - Cappella'. I coloured my image with Copics but forgot to list them - sorry!
The ribbon was tied with my Bow-Easy and was a small piece I had left from somewhere?

Here are two pictures I took:

This one I was trying to show the bit of stickles I put on it and also the sparkles in the Cryogen White paper I used:

Before I say goodbye for today, I want to tell you of a dear friend of mine: Claudette Holden. I have known Claudette for 16 years and she was a very special lady. She gave to everyone. She gave her love, her support, computer lessons on PSP, and so much more. She was an Artist and a Child of God. Claudette passed away last week from Cancer. I will miss her dearly. I send my love and prayers to her very loving and dear husband Steve and to all her family.

Thank you to each of you who have come back to see what I am up to. I sure appreciate your patience.
Love and Blessings,
Candy xoxo
