When I was a young girl
we had two weeks off
for Spring Break. Easter
fell during that time.
The weather was always
sunny and warm by then.
My brother and I always received
new clothes on Easter for
Church and then to wear to school
after that. I can remember lovely
dresses, very light sweaters, new white
cotton gloves and new shoes.
What a thrill it was LOL

I have used "Tilda and Her Bunny" #363
from The Butterfly Dreams Collection 2011.

My Design Paper is from:
Raspberry Road Cottage Collection
and Basket Collection. 
My card stock is from Stampin'Up:
Vanilla and Barely Banana.
I have coloured with Copics.
The Vintage Easter Card is from Crafty Secrets.
The edges on my card have been distressed
with my scissors and then
they have all been inked with
Tim Holtz Antique Linen.
The corners are from Stampin'Up Punch.
I used Glitter Ritz in Pink, Green and Blue
for the bunnies but you can't really tell
which colour is which :o(

Good Morning Everyone,

We are having our first BLOG HOP

of 2013 today!

If you just stumbled here you will

want to start at the beginning which is

the CHALLENGE BLOG

Our challenge is:

ANYTHING BUT A CARD.

This was a real hard one for me,

as I can't get to stores to buy anything to make!

I had one large candle at my house,

so I decided that had to be it :o)

The candle is 6" in diameter.

Therefore 12" around.

It is white.

So I gathered paper and my image,

TILDA WITH DAFFODIL  BASKET

SHE IS FROM THE EASTER COLLECTION 2013

She can be found HERE in DIANA'S STORE. I also
used : sentiment - BEST EASTERWISHES #754 same place.

I have used only card stock no design paper.
The paper is all from Stamping Up
Barely Banana, Pretty in Pink,
and Bashful Blue.

I cut a a 3" strip of yellow paper
and added a wonderful boarder from
Magnolia Doohickey.
I placed large pearsl from my stash on the top
and bottom of the boarder at certain places.

Tilda is the focal point of the decoration.
but I added hand made flowers
to her left and right.

I added large pearls to the centre of each

large flower and a tiny rhinestone in

each tiny flower.

***SAFETY PLEASE!!***

If you decide to decorate

a candle this way, make sure

that you take OFF the decoration

while burning the candle!!!!!

I have made mine tight enough to stay on the candle

and lose enough to be able to pull it off.

* I have learned that I should have

taken a picture of the whole thing

while it was laying down before

adding it to my candle *

Green Galore and Pixie Pink.

My design Papers are from Nitwits.

Memory Box.

Two Spellbinders Decorative Dies

on the inside.

The lace, pearls, button and ribbon

are from my stash.

My card this time is:

'Farewell Tilda'

and I have also

used a mini called 'Front Doorstep'

from  Alotta Mini Stamps.

I stamped Tilda first then covered her

to stamp the stairway over top.

I must apologize for the state of my photos!

My house is so dark it is very hard to take good shots.

I tried something different this time

and I think it turned out worse.

So I won't do this again.

As you see I made a round card this time.

I used Spellbinders Grand Circle, 3rd size.

and regular size Spellbinders circles with holes.

Other dies I used are:

Magnolia Doo Hickey Swirl

and some older flower punches I have.

This one is called 'Sakura'

My card is distressed with

SU - Crumb cake.

DP are from Magnolia -

'Yummy for your Tummy'.

Clear flowers and pearls are from my stash

and Seam Binding is from - 

Ribbon Girl.

I thought the soft colour paper

would be fine for writing the

message on. It is sure to be seen.

No Copic list this time - sorry. 

I used so many I didn't keep track :o(

almost a week late!

I must apologize to you all.

My computer broke down - wouldn't you know it!

I just got it back yesterday after it was in the shop

for two weeks.

Got a new motherboard so I should be 

good for a long time now :o)

This is my card for 

ALL ABOUT BOYS

I have used Edwin with Airplane #127

 from the PRINCE AND PRINCESS COLLECTION 2012.

I also used You are so special sentiment  #721

from the YOU ARE SO SPECIAL COLLECTION 2011.

The Design Paper is is DAISYD'S

and CRATE PAPER.

All of the card stock is from SU - 

REAL RED and SO SAFFRON.

Yellow ribbon 1 1/2 inch is from my stash.

Here is my card:

I love this sweet Edwin!

I also thought I had the best paper for this card.

Here he is up close:

I made the Airplane from my new

Cameo Silhouette.

I cut the plane out 3 times in different

colours and then made a 3D image of it.

I also used Tim Holtz Antique Linen to

distress it all over.

The inside isn't fancy. Here is the left:

I had this little airplane button in my stash

and thought it was cute.

Here is the right hand side:

The blue pearls were also from my stash.

Today is our usual Challenge Blog. 

SWEET DIANA
has chosen all of our Challenges
until the end of the year.

 The first Challenge in February,
is a BIRTHDAY CARD.


Here is my card:

*The rules are that you MUST use a MAGNOLIA IMAGE

and you MUST make a BIRTHDAY CARD*

Your card won't be able to win without 

these two rules applied.

Here I have used:

TIDLA WITH  LOVE POTION #3070

from the new LOVE COLLECTION 2013.

I have used Bazzil card stock.

The Design Paper is from:

Crate Paper and is called: Snowing.

I have distressed the edges of all papers 

with SU So Saffron Ink, that includes the flowers.

I have used an Oval Spellbinder's Die

and the very first Tag put out by Doohickey

from Magnolia-licious.

The Tiny Butterflies are a MS punch as

are the leaves.

 I made the flowers.

Here are a few more pictures for you:

I have used Stickles around the rust brown, 

and lots of little pearls from my stash.

They may be

hiding from you around and in amongst

the flowers :o)

Today is:

  MAGNOLIA-LICIOUS INSPIRATION CHALLENGE

Our very sweet and talented CHRIS

is our Hostess for January and here is her

INSPIRATION PHOTO:

I saw a lot of possibilities with this picture.

It was really hard to decide - so I went

with blue, the trees and the cold.

Here is my card:

Poor Edwin - he must be so tired of falling down!

As you can see I have used a lot of blue

but I did get some clouds and a couple of

bare trees in there.

SKI  EDWIN WITH SNOWFLAKES #117

is from the "2012 Christmas Story Collection.

I really scuffed up all the edges of my card with my Zutter Tool.

Then edged everything with Tim Holtz Walnut Stain.

I used Magnolia Clouds die as well

as Magnolia Border Lace Die.

I also used Marianne Die for the trees.

I put SU Dazzling Diamonds for the snowflakes

and course Glitter for the snow.

I also used Sparkly Fluff for his hat :o)

I used SU Tempting Turquoise Card Stock

and Nit Wit design paper.
