Happy Mother's Day

Hello Dear Friends,

Hope you are all well and having

lovely spring weather by now.

It's another MAGNOLIA-LICIOUS

AND WEE STAMP CHALLENGE.

For my card today I have made

my mother a Mother's Day card.

Our Challenge is to 'use Vellum'.

I don't think I have ever used Vellum

before - sure can't remember it if I did.

I had no idea what you could do with it,

so I am afraid I took the easy way out!!

I chose from Love Collection 2013

#355 Tilda with a Little Pocket.

in DIANA'S STORE.

I have used one of the new
Spellbinders Dies called
Opulent Ovals, as well as 
the plain oval.
Shiny Bazzil Card Stock
and a flowered piece of
vellum.
I also have used a Doohickey
Corner Die.
Seam Binding from 
The Ribbon Girl.

You can see I used another 

Doohickey lace die for the bottom.

The charm, rhinestones, and

purple lace are all from my stash.

The tag was made by myself

and I did the writing as well.

The sentiment is from Quietfire Designs

made by Suzanne Cannon.

punches from Martha Stewart.

MAGNOLIA-LICIOUS AND WEE CHALLENGE

Today is another Challenge

at MAGNOLIA-LICIOUS WEE BLOG

Todays Challenge is:

Buttons. Bows or Beads.

I managed to put them all on my card :o)

Today I have used: #3030 Tilda in Bath Cap

from the Prince and Princess Collection 2012.

I am sorry about the light shining

in the picture. I tried turning it this way and

that - but there was no getting away from the

shine :o(

I made a shaker card today.

Tilda is in the bathtub playing with

bubbles and her little plastic duck.

I hope you can see my pretty button

on top of the double bow I made.

The beads are white and blue

and are my 'shakers'.

The design paper I used is so old

I am afraid I can't remember who

it belongs to, I 'think' SU.

The button is from the SU Catalogue.

The pretty ribbon is from my stash as are 

the beads.

I have also used Crystal Lacquer

and sprinkled a tiny bit of Dazzling Diamonds

in it while it was wet. Both are from SU.

I used Best Glue Ever at DIANA'S STORE

Good Morning Peeps!

Here I am again :o)

On to my card.

Here is the front:

I coloured with Copic's as always.

I used Spellbinders Scalloped Circles,

Magnolia trees and a few flowers I happened

to have that were the right colour.

After I had everything together I sprayed

the whole card with Glitter Mist, in both

Marshmallow and Iridescent Gold.

First time I have tried this,

I thought since she is an Angel

she should be all glittered up!

Before that I glittered her

wings real good!

I used Crystal Lacquer and Clear Glitter Ritz.

My Card Stock is from SU

Really Rust and Old Olive.

The Design Paper is from

Raspberry Road.

When I was a young girl
we had two weeks off
for Spring Break. Easter
fell during that time.
The weather was always
sunny and warm by then.
My brother and I always received
new clothes on Easter for
Church and then to wear to school
after that. I can remember lovely
dresses, very light sweaters, new white
cotton gloves and new shoes.
What a thrill it was LOL

My card stock is from Stampin'Up:
Vanilla and Barely Banana.
I have coloured with Copics.
The Vintage Easter Card is from Crafty Secrets.
The edges on my card have been distressed
with my scissors and then
they have all been inked with
Tim Holtz Antique Linen.
The corners are from Stampin'Up Punch.
I used Glitter Ritz in Pink, Green and Blue
for the bunnies but you can't really tell
which colour is which :o(

We are having our first BLOG HOP

of 2013 today!

If you just stumbled here you will

want to start at the beginning which is

the CHALLENGE BLOG

Our challenge is:

ANYTHING BUT A CARD.

This was a real hard one for me,

as I can't get to stores to buy anything to make!

I had one large candle at my house,

so I decided that had to be it :o)

The candle is 6" in diameter.

Therefore 12" around.

It is white.

So I gathered paper and my image,

TILDA WITH DAFFODIL  BASKET

SHE IS FROM THE EASTER COLLECTION 2013

She can be found HERE in DIANA'S STORE. I also
used : sentiment - BEST EASTERWISHES #754 same place.

I have used only card stock no design paper.
The paper is all from Stamping Up
Barely Banana, Pretty in Pink,
and Bashful Blue.

I cut a a 3" strip of yellow paper
and added a wonderful boarder from
Magnolia Doohickey.
I placed large pearsl from my stash on the top
and bottom of the boarder at certain places.

Tilda is the focal point of the decoration.
but I added hand made flowers
to her left and right.

I added large pearls to the centre of each

large flower and a tiny rhinestone in

each tiny flower.

***SAFETY PLEASE!!***

If you decide to decorate

a candle this way, make sure

that you take OFF the decoration

while burning the candle!!!!!

I have made mine tight enough to stay on the candle

and lose enough to be able to pull it off.

* I have learned that I should have

taken a picture of the whole thing

while it was laying down before

adding it to my candle *

My card this time is:

'Farewell Tilda'

and I have also

used a mini called 'Front Doorstep'

from  Alotta Mini Stamps.

I stamped Tilda first then covered her

to stamp the stairway over top.

I must apologize for the state of my photos!

My house is so dark it is very hard to take good shots.

I tried something different this time

and I think it turned out worse.

So I won't do this again.

As you see I made a round card this time.

I used Spellbinders Grand Circle, 3rd size.

and regular size Spellbinders circles with holes.

Other dies I used are:

Magnolia Doo Hickey Swirl

and some older flower punches I have.

This one is called 'Sakura'

SU - Crumb cake.

I thought the soft colour paper

would be fine for writing the

message on. It is sure to be seen.

No Copic list this time - sorry. 

I used so many I didn't keep track :o(
