HOT LITTLE TILDA

Good Morning Peeps :o)
I love that word!

* I have blog candy today *

Today's Challenge at
is
SOME LIKE IT HOT

I have used # 398 Tilda in Key Largo
from the Summer Memories Collection
2012.
The weather has been strange for some time. Fortunately (or unfortunately LOL ) at my house
( this week ) it is hot hot hot!

Little Tilda decided to take a long
bike ride, having no idea how hot she
would get! As she past the lake
she just had to take a dip.

card front:

She had her new summer dress on
and knew she couldn't get it wet, so she
waded in as deep as she could.

She took of her sunglasses and laid
her bike safely on the grass.
The sun was beating down on her,
but getting her feet and legs wet
made her feel so much better.

open at one fold

For today I made a different kind
of folded card. I am sorry I can't
remember what it is called or where
I saw it :o(  It might be called
a side fold?

right side when open

On the left side there is a mountain
and two valley folds - so there is a lot
of room for writing. Also that is
how it stands up.

I used a punch from Michael's Reflection
Line which is a summer theme of
sand castles, pails and shovels.
I punched both the top and
bottom of my card and used
quite a bit of Tim Holtz
distress ink: Vintage Photo
to make it stand out.

I have used Nitwits Paper
called Hello Sunshine for my design paper.
The whole card, back and front
are covered completely with it.
My Card Stock is Whisper White from S.U.

As well as Tilda, the sun is a Magnolia
Stamp called: Tilda's sun.
Both dies are from Magnolia as well.
I punched out two grasses in
different colour greens, and the bicycle
which I used the same Distress Ink,
plus some Stickles.

I alternated the grass and slid the
bike down and between the grass.
The sun was stamped on my paper,
coloured and cut out.
The rays of the sun are bent in
different ways and fall off
the card.

This is my first time using
Frantage! I love it, but
learned I need to apply it
differently next time.

I also used the blue Pearl Pen
for the first time on my card.
Believe it or not I have practiced
quite a while with it to get
my pearls perfected. BUT
when I took the lid off
and turned it over to use
it dropped like water on my card :o(
It was so hot in my house it
had melted!! So of course it
doesn't look good at all.

The glasses are from my stash
and the seashells are some that
I have collected. They are so tiny.
Most of my shells are a lot larger,
but these ones were so pretty.

You must check out
The last collection called
'Special Moments'
is just lovely for
Wedding and Anniversary Cards,
and more.

A little bird has told me there
is already another Collection

Blog Hop for June at Magnolia-licious and Wee Challenge Blog

Hi Friends,

It is great to see you all again!

It is time for another awesome
Blog Hop at

The Design Team has
made wonderful things to get
your imagination flowing!

If you have arrived here from
MINDY'S BLOG,
you are in the right place

************

I am SO STUPID!!!

I have made a huge mistake and
made for the wrong season!!!!

I can't tell you how sorry I am!

Might as well show what I did though.....

Christmas Tree Ornaments!!!

I bought a wonderful collection
of frames from Michael's
some time ago.
I think these are the sweetest Christmas
gifts for friends, neighbours, or teachers.

Here are my gifts:

They are so charming.

Perhaps you can tell I have
used MINI Magnolia Stamps.
I used  'Tilda with Hanging Heart'
'Tilda with Hanging Star' from the Christmas
Collection 2010. I have also used Edwin on
Christmas Eve.

Here are some close-ups of them all:

I used Glitter Ritz on them all.
Each Tilda has it on their wings
and Edwin has snow with it
all around him and under his feet.

I found it hard to take pictures
without the light showing :o(

Please forgive me for the terrible
mistake I have made.

Next in the line up is
I am positive she has made
something delightful for you :o)

*I buy all my Magnolia and Wee Stamps
from the lovely DIANA

A little Vintage

Good Morning Dear Friends,

Hope you are all well and are
having some nice summer weather.
Ours was great during May,
but June has been cloudy and rainy.
Actually that is the usual around here.
It should get sunny again in July - hopefully!

I am finally back from my Disneyland Adventure.
What fun we all had!!!
I am just amazed at everything there,
and how clean it is!! Everyone we met, in lines
or in stores were so kind and helpful.

Unfortunately the night we returned home
my D-I-L's Grandmother fell and broke
her hip and the doctor didn't expect her
to live more than a couple of days.
I stayed to babysit while she went
to Winnipeg for the funeral etc.

Well, it's about time we talked about Magnolia-licious
The Challenge is on till June 24th at midnight!
This one is 'Lucious Lace'
Can be paper lace too....

I used #3043 Vintage Bridal Couple from
the new 'Special Moments Collection'.

June has always been the month for
Weddings.
I really tried to make this card
'Vintage' since the stamp is Vintage.
Don't know how I did?

You can look here:

I used some old ecru lace that I have
had for ages. I used it all around the card
and made a flower out of it as well.

I have wanted to use feathers for a long
time and thought they would be
OK because Vintage Hats all have
feathers on them :o)
as well.

The Sentiments are from LOTV.
I made the pin and used another
Pearl for the flower centre.

I started with Kraft card stock from SU
Then added a dark peach card stock from Bazzil.
My design paper is from Graphic 45.
I also used my very latest Spellbinder Dies
called Radiant Rectangles.
Every piece has been distressed with
TH Antique Linen.

One last look up close for you:

I am really sorry to say that
I forgot about writing down the
colours I used. They were all
Copics of course :o(

HAVE YOU ORDERED FROM THIS

THE STAMPS ARE SO WONDERFUL!

I have used #229
'Sitting Tilda with Butterfly'
from the NEW COLLECTION

An adorable set!!

I also have 'bought paper'
again today. It is from S.E.I
and is about 15 years old at least!!

My card stock is from SU.
I have used Pink Pirouette
and Chocolate Chip ( yum! )

I used a charm from my stash, as well as pearls.
The seam binding is from the Ribbon Girl.
The ribbon across the front is SU.
I used Doo Hickey Die
for the lace on the edge of the pink,
as well as the bugs ( butterflies for today )
Also a Spellbinders Die.
OH! and my brand new Corner Die
from Joy Craft - I LOVE IT!

This time I stamped Tilda
on my Cryogen White
and cut her out. I don't do that
very often as I am scared! LOL

Here she is close up:

Weather Ways

Good Morning Friends,

Hope only good things are happening
with you today.

You are not going to believe this,
I am going on holidays!!

Precious time with my Grandchildren
in Disneyland!!!!
Then spending time
with my dear Mom.

So right about now I should be
in the middle of DISNEYLAND :o)
************

Today is another wonderful Challenge
It is all about the weather in any
way you can think of.

I used a rather old image called:
Tilda with Umbrella from
Spring Butterfly Collection 2009!!!

For some reason I HAD to make
a card about rain.
I love the rain.
It puts me to sleep on winter nights.
I have wonderful cozy days sitting
in front of the fire with a
hot chocolate,
and I love walking in the rain any
time of year.

Besides which I had some
awesome 'bought design paper' to use LOL
Not digital for a change!

Here is my card:

Plain and simple today.

The paper is from
'My Minds Eye - quite contrary',
and it is years old!
My yellow and vanilla card
stock is from Bazzil.

I received the lovely charm as a
gift when I ordered something
online :o)

The ribbon is from SU, as is my

sentiment.

I have coloured with my usual
Copics and I have used
Crystal Lacquer for every rain drop
and over the puddle.

Here is a close-up of Tilda:

I doubt you can see the
lacquer on the rain drops.

Here are a couple more pictures:

This card is not a side opening one -
believe it or not this one opens 'up'.

The top inside looks like this:

The bottom like this:

The umbrella die is from
You can find it HERE
Can you see my 3 little rain drops?

You may have figured out by now that
I am on Team A for the Challenges.
*So next Tuesday you will see Team B's
beautiful work.*
