Here are photos of my new Tilda card. This is the First Sketch Challenge for the month of February. I have used all Stampin'Up DP and plain paper. This paper is called: TEA PARTY and I love it!!! Tilda has been painted with Copics. Her wings have Iridescent Ice on them and the 3 plastic flowers on the top left corner are from Stamping Bella. I attached them to the page and then glued a green seed bead inside each one. I used a corner punch and a border punch on this card.Saturday, February 21, 2009

A Little Tuesday Hi
Hello my friends!
Just wanted to say hi to you all since I didn't get back here as soon as I expected to. I hope you are all having nice weather these days. We sure are. We now have had 5 days in a row of sun shine - a bit cool at night still - but enough warmth during the day to melt a lot of our snow. YAY!!!!! I can now see green grass again. The mountains are clear as there is not a cloud in site and they are beautiful to look at.
I do have a little card to show you today.
This one is for a lady who is ill.
It is traveling all the way to The Netherlands, so you will understand why I have made it 5 1/2 x 4 1/4 and have no dimension on it. It still has several layers of design paper all made by Imaginisce. I did use Whisper White SU cardstock as my base as I usually do. I don't know the age of the lady this is going to, but I do know she is someones mother and since I wanted to make my Tilda a little different today I made her with gray hair LOL
She has been painted with my Copics and I have put Stickles on her wings and streaks through her hair. I used my Nesties for both of the circles and also one of a set of sentiment dies. The flowers are all from Prima and the bling in the flowers are soft pink crystals.
Here is a look at the full card:

Here are two a bit closer:

and here is the inside:

Thank you all for taking a peak and I hope to be back soon. Take care everyone!

Taking a minute . . . .
Hello!
Just taking a minute to show you a card that did not turn out well today :o(. I am so very disappointed with this one I have made for my 4 year old nephew. I did the card and it was fine - but a little on the plain side. ** note to self - next time take it apart and use polka dot paper **. I decided since it was all finished I would take a minute to put some dots on it. Instead of using my SU markers as I should have** ~ I still had my Copics out and used one of them. D U M B move!!! Especailly using this blue one that has leaked since I bought it!!!!!!!!!!! My dots that I usually can make all the same size - because of the leak are NOT.
So you live and your learn - right?
Here is my disaster:

A bit closer:

NOTE TO SELF : Copics go THROUGH the paper!!!!!!!!!! What you put on the outside is going to show on the inside - DUH
I did use my cuttlebug folder as you can see and since Kaylan will be 4 I put glitter on all the # 4's.

His little verse on the inside:

I hope to have something better to show you a bit later today - If I can think how to do it properly :o(

Hi !!!
Hi everyone!
Some of you may know and some may not, but at the end of all of my emails I have a poem : I'm a
Raggedy
Ann person
in a
Barbie Doll
World.
I got a darling surprise in the mail today. A wonderful RAK from a gal named Jenn Borjeson! I have had so many people write me and comment on it. So nice! :o) Anyway, Jenn liked it a lot as well, and she made me a wonderful card that I love. She also sent me some stamped images inside ( we are on the Bella site together ) and many of the sayings that she made for me!!! What a doll! Have a look at what she sent:

Isn't that THE sweetest card??? THANK YOU SO MUCH, JENN!( she also put a great stamp on the envelope - it is Cinderella. I collect postage stamps and this was an extra gift that Jenn wouldn't have realized! )
I am late with this card, but with luck I can send it special delivery and it will get there on time! I haven't been feeling quite myself the past couple of weeks and am doing everything in slow motion.
This is my Valentine card for my dear mom xoxoxoxo. The stamps are from SU and my Stampin'Up Demonstrator: Glenda. I stamped them with Versamark and used fine gold embossing powder on them. The DP is Making Memories: Love Birds Scallop Love Notes. I have also used Whisper White and Brushed Gold from SU. The large ribbon I picked up somewhere? I also used Shrink Plastic and made a tiny charm which I sewed onto the ribbon. Here is the front of the card:

I forgot to mention the pink paper is Pretty in Pink and I got out my Stampin'Spots and sponged some ink around each heart.
Here is a closer picture:

And one closer of the ribbon:

And a peak at the inside - sorry it is slightly blurred I must have moved! The sentiment says: You mean everything to me.

So that's my news for today ~ I hope you enjoyed looking at the card I made, and especially at the card I received from JENN!!!
Thanks for visiting me. Please remember how much I love to read your delightful comments :o)

Hello it's Monday!
Monday night as a matter of fact and shortly to be over, as it is 11:45! But - I am not as late as I sometimes am LOL
I have made a Valentine card for each of my grandchildren. I have one grandson, Brandon, who is 5, and one granddaughter, Mariah, who is 2!
The first one I made is for Mariah. I know she likes pretty things - she is already a 'real girly girl'. So I tried to make her a pretty card. I used left over DP from one of my Tilda cards and SU card stock 'Pretty in Pink' as well as some Valentine Ribbon, and a pink button which I sewed on so she couldn't get it off easily.I also used paint to make dots around the outside of the DP. I coloured with my Copic pens and I think you can tell that easily on this large plain stamp. It is from SU and is called Vintage Valentines. I believe I have had it for a couple of years so it may be out of date now.
Here is the overall view:

and here is a close up of the image:

Here is a close up of the ribbon detail:

Now for Brandon's card. I am disappointed with myself over this card. I wanted something special but couldn't come up with a stamp I really liked for him so I put a couple of images together and have to make do. These, and their little gifts have to get mailed in the morning to get there on time. So I had to go with this card :o(
It is made with 'Whisper White' and 'Real Red', SU paper. It also uses a SU image from last year called 'Happy Heart Day'. It is also coloured with Copics and I used just a strip of ribbon across the top, a green button that I added embroidery floss to, plus two clear buttons that I glued onto two DP circles I cut out with my 1/2" circle cutter from SU.
Here is the overall view of Brandon's card:

and a close up of the stamped image:

Here is one of the ribbon:

Unfortunately, the picture I took of the clear buttons on the DP did not turn out :o( I used my Nesties on both cards and you will notice I did not put any white pen on these two stamped images. I wanted them plain and easy to see for the children.
I have put nice sentiments on the inside and decorated them as well. But chose not to take pictures of the insides this time.
Good night all - have a good week.

Hello on this Friday afternoon!
I have been slow the last few days. Trying to sort my art room out AGAIN!!!! It is a never ending process LOL.
I made a birthday card for a very dear friend. This is not my usual kind of birthday card at all. I am being swayed by all the Magnolia ones I am making I think LOL Anyway my friend is turning 60 so thought I would make a cute card for her this year with no sarcasm!

I used DP Imaginisce and SU white and Pretty in Pink. The inside has the other side of the DP on it. I coloured with my Copics and use Diamond Glaze and Stickles and a little 'hat' pin with a heart on it. I notice in the picture the heart on the pin doesn't look like it is the right colour, but in actual fact it matches the dark pink in the DP. I also used SU ribbon in Old Olive.
Here are a few more pictures of details and the inside of the card.

Hope to see you all again soon!
Bye for now, Candy

Hi Everyone!
A real short post this afternoon. I made a card for my young nephew's Birthday. I used SU stamps called 'Crab and Company'. The DP is from Essentials Paperz. The yellow is from a piece of extra bright I had. I did colour with my Copics but is is really hard to tell on this card. Also used 3 dimentional tape and 3D crystal lacquer. The lacquer is on the bows and the dots and also used as glue for the google eyes. I then used my clear glaze pen to outline the crab and the sentiment and a few other places. I hope he likes it.

And a closer look at the 'crab' LOL

I hope you are all enjoying a pleasant week so far.
See you again soon!
